A teenager recently visited Teens' Closet for the first time. Like many young people who come through the program, he picked out clothing and received a hygiene kit filled with everyday essentials. It was a simple appointment, much like hundreds of others that have taken place over the years. But afterward, something unexpected happened.
Back in 2002, a high school student named Haley Kilpatrick sought a way to help younger girls navigate middle school by sharing her own experiences. This desire led her to create Girl Talk—a program that promotes meaningful dialogue between middle and high school girls. Girl Talk has since grown to include hundreds of chapters throughout the U.S.
