North Star Youth Partnership has life-changing youth programs in Central and Northern Arizona. Programs vary by location and age served.
Peer Assistance & Leadership (PAL)
Available in Maricopa County and Yavapai County
Teens learn skills through peer helping, leadership, mentoring, conflict resolution and community service. PAL provides effective training in resiliency strategies and addresses issues such as violence in schools, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, gang participation and dropping out of school.
Youth Task Force Available in Maricopa County
Youth in grades eight through 12 contribute in meaningful ways in their schools and communities by developing social media campaigns and events educating about teen pregnancy and other risk-taking behaviors. Youth Task Force also serves as an advisory committee and provides input about North Star Youth Partnership’s programming.
Teens’ Closet Located in Prescott, is available to students in the surrounding area.
Teens’ Closet provides free clothing and hygiene kits to teens in financial need and helps them develop skills that open doors to education and job opportunities. We also provide resources and referrals to help teens find jobs and improve their grades to shape a bright future. Teens ages 13-19 can shop by appointment every other month for stylish, trendy clothes that make them feel comfortable and confident. Teens under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
