Volunteer Bekke was happy to donate real estate to further the Shelter’s work.”
Bekke has always been called to help those in need. She believes in the work of Catholic Charities BHHS Legacy Christine Stamper Center for Help & Hope in Bullhead City. “My personal beliefs about helping the less fortunate align with those of Catholic Charities even though I’m not Catholic. I believe in the Good Samaritan philosophy; if you can help others then you should,” shares Bekke.
Bekke has been a volunteer at the Center for Help & Hope since the very first day the shelter opened. She has become a staple in the kitchen where daily meals are served to those experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Bekke has a special bond with shelter guests; she speaks to them, asks them their story, looks them in the eye and treats them with the compassion she believes they so desperately need.
After careful consideration, Bekke made the decision to leave a gift of real estate to Catholic Charities. “I feel very good about it because I truly understand the work being done at the shelter, and I know the gift will make an impact.”

When asked what advice she has for others who are considering a Legacy Gift to Catholic Charities, Rebecca replied, “Look into your heart and you will know.”
There are many ways to use Charitable Estate Planning to make a gift. You can achieve your goals for yourself and your family and give a future gift to support the mission of Catholic Charities. You can choose to designate your gift to where it’s needed most, or the program or location that touches your heart.

P.R.O.S. Enterprises celebrated its 10th anniversary and launch of its nonprofit, the P.I.T.C.H. Initiative, by creating a memorable experience for veterans experiencing homelessness at MANA (Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force) House. Veterans enjoyed playing cards, a meal from Nibblers Catering, yard games, and more. Employees also took the time to sit with veterans and talk to them about their experiences and share a variety of giveaways with them.
“The fajitas and dessert were a huge hit for the Veterans. Overall, it was a great collaboration with the P.I.T.C.H Initiative, The Wow Factor (95.1), and Your Life AZ (TV/Film Crew). We look forward to partnering again in the future.” said Rachel Masch-Perez, Community Engagement Coordinator at MANA House.
In addition to providing a fun night of food and activities, P.R.O.S. also brought toiletry kits and made a $10,000 donation!
