Supporting People in Crisis

Many people in our community are living in crisis conditions, sometimes because of an unexpected event, other times because of a long-term problem or concern. Through the following services and programs, Catholic Charities aims to assist these people move beyond the crisis point to a place of economic and emotional stability.
Counseling

Our counseling staff provides understanding, caring, and support to help individuals and families deal with life challenges, behavioral problems, and family relationships.

DIGNITY is education-based program for women wanting to leave prostitution and start a new life for themselves.

Domestic Violence

Our domestic violence programs assist victims in escaping and recovering from domestic violence through a variety of services and supports.

Elderly Case Management

Catholic Charities provides individualized support services to disabled persons over age 60. This includes a program that loans medical equipment-such as wheelchairs, walkers, and shower benches-to those that need them. Elderly case management is provided at the Yavapai Regional Service Center.
Emergency Services

Our emergency services programs help low-income individuals and families meet their basic needs-food, clothing, and shelter.

Employee Preparation

We help clients of our refugee resettlement and homeless outreach programs find employment through job skills education and rehabilitation. This service is provided at the Phoenix Regional Service Center.
Transportation

Catholic Charities helps foster children in mostly rural Mohave and Coconino Counties in getting to medical or dental appointments, counseling sessions, and parental visits. This service is provided at the Mohave-Coconino Regional Service Center.
Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing

This program aims to get homeless people off the streets and into permanent housing.

Through our partnership with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the federal government, we help refugees get settled in their new homes and provide support that will enable them to attain employment and affordable permanent housing.

Catholic Charities provides legal consultation, documentation, and representation to U.S. citizens and immigrants dealing with immigration-related issues.
