"Our clients benefit from our diverse programs including counseling, child welfare and emergency assistance for those in crisis. Our signature program is Catholic Charities' My Sisters' Place, a domestic violence shelter that has been a leader in serving women and children in crisis for 20 years."

Programs and Services

Catholic Charities facilitates the adoption of infants, supporting birth and adoptive families throughout the process. Part of this process may be counseling women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.

Our counseling staff provides understanding, caring, and support to help individuals and families deal with life challenges, behavioral problems, and family relationships.

Our emergency services programs help low-income individuals and families meet their basic needs-food, clothing, and shelter.

Responding to CPS abuse and neglect reports, Family Builders is a state-sponsored program that provides services to improve the well-being of families by reducing the risk factors that could lead to an out-of-home placement of the children.

Catholic Charities presents an abstinence education curriculum in public and private schools that teaches children and teens about the value of waiting until marriage before becoming sexually active.

We recruit loving and stable families to care for children in the custody of Child Protective Services. We also assist in the adoption process when these children find a permanent home with an adoptive family.

This program connects people in crisis with needed community resources that can help them move beyond crisis to a state of emotional and financial stability. The program can also offer financial assistance for various purposes when necessary.

A licensed, residential domestic violence shelter, My Sisters' Place provides a 24-hour crisis phone line and short-term shelter for women, with or without dependent children, who are homeless as a result of family violence. (If you are in need of emergency assistance, call the 24-hour Helpline: 480.821.1024.)

Pathways is a transitional housing and life skills education program for single mother and their children who are homeless because of domestic violence.
